Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are increasingly capable, acing our cleaning tests and tackling various floor types. Select models that allow you to select between a variety of types, best robot vacuum and mop including self-emptying and clean stairs.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and customize the S1's behavior.

The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which comprises linoleum flooring in the dining area, kitchen, and bathrooms and a medium-pile and a large rug. It was able to drive right up to walls without colliding with them and even managed to traverse thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, but it sometimes was unable to navigate down the stairs in one pass. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and swung up when it was near carpets or rugs.

The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock provides an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for around a dozen cleaning sessions before needing to be cleaned, although this will vary depending on how often you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure it is operating efficiently. In order to do this, you'll have to rinse out the dirty water tank occasionally to prevent it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from getting clogged by dust or dirt. However, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially when compared to other combos which require more effort to maintain.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robotic mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a great choice for your cleaning requirements. The robot vacuum has 8700Pa of suction power and comes with many advanced features like voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply dragging the pad across it. Mops can also be cleaned and dried at the base station if needed.

The robot comes with an easy interface that guides you through the process. It also comes with a hand-vacuum that can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks that are automatically filled or empty. It also has a range of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that can easily pick up dirt and other debris that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, although it could get stuck on small area mats and rugs around my home (which you can alleviate by creating virtual boundaries in the app). Its mopping is quite impressive, and comes with two spinning mops that actually lift and scrub the floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops can also be filled at the top of the station if required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest top-of-the-line robot vacuum reviews mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our top list of robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure a thorough, customized clean is completed.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our tests' dirtiest areas well, eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other mess. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that is placed along baseboards.

Its navigation system is nimble, navigating narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without skipping a step. It can move from one area to another without reversing direction which is a great feature for larger homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than its competitors, however, and tends to leave a wide margin around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.

The app features a simple and intuitive interface that will be easy to use for both new and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings, alter suction power and mopping settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. You can control it through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You will require a reliable WiFi connection to use the app and external controls.

It has a suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system that means you don't have to empty the bin manually each time. It comes with a smart app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and determine the floor type. It also features an automatic water tank filling and washing system to allow hands-free operation.

Its mops also impress with its 2700Pa capacity to combat pet hair and dirt on carpets as well as hard flooring. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested that did not have problems with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it did not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising, since it does NOT have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also has an innovative mapping system that lets it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums are unable to. It also collects more dust in the bin, which means you don't need to empty it as frequently. Furthermore, it comes with washable filters that further lower the cost of using the device.
