Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is a unique item that will make certain Pokemon change. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a photo disc. It's sometimes given as a prize during Pokemon GO events.

There are different upgrade components, each of which comes with distinct bonuses. Universal upgrades like gems and inscriptions can be used on any type of equipment. They provide smaller bonuses than other kinds of upgrade component. Infusions can be found in non-amulet equipment that is ascended and legendary equipment, while enhancements are utilized for certain items that are ascended back. Most upgrade components can be replaced when they are slotted into an item, but doing so will destroy the previous upgrade. The exceptions are glyphs (which can only be used in gathering tools) and Enchantments, which can be removed and put back in.

Insignias, enchantments, and prefix/suffix upgrades will appear in the hover display of the item Upgrader mod while they are added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia will change the name into Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item will display the number of upgrades that have been added to it.

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements such as ligatures, ornaments, fractions, swashes registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs panel lets you see and insert these particular characters as well as standard glyphs such as em dashes, en dashes registered trademark symbols, as well as glyphs that do not appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph gives an initial boost to the stats of the character. It also has up to four secondary stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a %-increase that is multiplied after other bonuses are applied except for Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.

Once a Glyph has reached level 15 it is able to be upgraded using the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The Paragon Board's radius increases by one node every 15 levels at which a Glyph is upgraded.

Once a Glyph has been elevated to the desired level, you can activate it by selecting it, then pressing the "enchant" button. The Glyph that is created will grant its stated bonus, and also increase the number of nodes within its radius on the Paragon Board. It's important to place Glyphs in the best locations to benefit your game, which is why it's a good idea to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Some glyphs, however, might offer dual benefits in the event that certain conditions are met, so they're worth looking out for.

Click the cycle widget to alter the view of the Glyphs Panel. Each view shows the Glyphs in a different font. Rerolling
