Easy to clean

If you're considering travel cots and bedside cribs make sure they come with a mattress cover that is machine-washable. This will allow you to keep it free of leaky nappies, baby sick and dribbles. It is also recommended to choose an item that can be easily disassembled so you can clean and disinfect all the corners.

This is important, as it's the best way to make sure that all germs and dirt have been removed. Check that the sides of the crib are securely attached to ensure that your baby doesn't fall down or get trapped.

Apart from being easy to clean, you'll also want a bedside crib that is comfortable for your baby and will fit comfortably into your own bed.
