It's also the only robot vacuum/mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our testing. This is due to a mix of modern sensors, including a restructured light system, camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is easy to operate. It has an intuitive mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to map out floor plans and detect obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its top competitors. It also has a camera mounted on the front for real-time hazard detection but this was not foolproof in our testing and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

The vacuum cleaner has an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to complete the task.
