GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Aside from that blip, this fridge is a great option. It features a large freezer compartment, which is unusual for counter-depth French door fridges. It also holds a lot of frozen food items compared to other models.

Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is typical for a french door fridge plumbed-door fridge at this price. It has a decent sized freezer in the left side. But it's not the most spacious one I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in both compartments to create customized storage layout for whatever you have to store. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. The LED lighting is a nice touch, and the in-door storage bins have a third shelf that can fold down to make it possible to store tall items. The drawers come with temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, but I found their textured plastic coatings to be a bit hard on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes the all the features you'd expect from a fridge in this price range with Wi-Fi and app support via GE's SmartHQ software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices allows you to control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and offers many options for customizing. It also sends you notifications when doors are left open, when the fridge or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be great if GE PYE22PYNFS offered Precise fill, an option available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allows users to set how many cups they want to pour out. The fridge shows a countdown to reveal how much water remains, but it's not as helpful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Designed to look like a seamless part of your kitchen Bosch's French door refrigerator is an eye-catching piece. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also comes with a veggie compartment to keep fruits and vegetables fresher longer and dual compressors to ensure maximum preservation of food. The Ice maker is among the top we've tested and produces pyramid-shaped Ice with low water usage. This fridge is the perfect option for a single family or kitchenettes that want a built-in look and top of the line food preservation.

This refrigerator was rated as the top in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. The freezer temperature remained steady at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never fluctuated more than a fraction - this is crucial to prevent the risk of a freezer burn. The fridge's fridge section also performed well, reaching the desired initial set temperature within an hour and maintaining the temperature constant over the course of our tests.

Bosch is a household name known for its top-quality appliances. Therefore, it's no surprise that the Bosch counter depth refrigerator can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's platform Home Connect. The app allows you to control and monitor the refrigerator remotely using your tablet or smartphone. The fridge is expensive, however it has top-quality features and functions for the price.

While the fridge is a fantastic piece of equipment however, it is important to understand the limitations. It has a small shelf space, which means you'll need to be creative when storing tall items. Inside, the fridge features the standard French-door layout, with gallon-sized bins for the doors on each door, two rows of shelves for spill-capture and a set more spacious drawers. The top right shelf can be folded down to give tall items more headroom. You'll also find a full width deli drawer and an internal water dispenser.

This refrigerator has a freezer with an ice maker, making it easy to transfer the frozen ice whenever you need it. The freezer also features innovative design features like sliding drawers that help you sort your things. It has a large bin for storing frozen food, and a separate one for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is another cool feature of the refrigerator. You can control the temperature, lighting and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It's a simple method to monitor your fridge and manage it, especially when away from home.

But while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it does not necessarily add to the overall performance of the refrigerator. The fridge took a bit longer to defrost food and chill it than other models we tried. This could be due to the larger capacity.

The doors pose a problem with this fridge. They have sunken handles on the front, which allow smaller people to pull them open from the bottom, but they're not easy for taller people to steer closed without slamming the doors. It would have been much better if they had a front-mounted handle.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent option for those looking to blend the aesthetics of a french door fridge and freezer-door refrigerator with a more efficient design. It has a capacity that is superior to counter-depth models and also cools evenly. It's also less expensive than the top counter depth refrigerators that have an icemaker, which makes it an attractive choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't cost you a fortune and isn't expensive, this Frigidaire is a solid option. It has a simple design that's not as striking visually as some of the competition however it comes with enough features to make it a solid choice. Its most notable feature is the temperature adjustable drawer which helps keep food items such as meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a large water and ice maker dispenser.

The "Chill Drawer", which is located over the two crisper bins, is another nice feature. The drawer allows you to divert part of the refrigerator's cooling power directly to this area, which means you can put away food items that need extra attention. This feature can be adjusted using a slider located outside the drawer. You can also use this to set a general cooling setting for the entire fridge however, I've found that changing the generic settings tends to produce better results than specific ones.

During my tests, I discovered that the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent across various parts of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge did not vary much from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. That's a good performance, but it doesn't quite rank among the best in our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also combine this fridge with a smart thermometer to get more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge resistant" finish. It does an excellent job of preventing streaks and fingerprints from appearing, even compared to glossier stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
