It features a 220-degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 mins when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It's extremely fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to clean dirt as well as pet hair and droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help draw away debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into difficult corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot hoover vacuums and mops I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is simple to install, and it works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum solely to mop it is important to pay attention to this.

The robot is divided into two parts, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping unit that is equipped with an elastomer pad. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate floorplan map, which it uses to draw the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot auto vacuum and mop that mops in our test, but it also has unique features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock which serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two water tanks, a cleaning sink, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.

The base comes with several control buttons that let you manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off a child lock which is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it is entangled in a hazard, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you untangle it manually. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its app.

Another potential downside is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and robot Vacuum mopping modes during cleaning. You will need to manually switch between the two, which isn't a big deal aside from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxes.
