Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills, stains) in one time without the need to change devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual can get you running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.

You could, for instance request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. 2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's most popular best robot vacuum mop and vacuum. Unlike last year's model this one has a double agitator in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. It then can alter its path automatically and clean around the objects, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek angular design is striking, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.

The only issue I encountered in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to take off the mount for manual washing. I've found that any plush carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these using the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model, which is a shame considering how well it performs otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with its innovative features, top suction power and advanced mowing abilities. Its smart design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The X40 is the first robot vacuum reviews vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the most effective options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair, crumbs and other dry debris. It comes with a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without the need for pads. In addition the X40 is very quiet during its operation, with only occasional squeaks of sound when switching modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.

Another noteworthy feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush that allows it to reach difficult-to-access corners as well as clean curved furniture like table and chairs' legs. The X40 will also track its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers many convenient features, making it a great option for busy families. The docking station will automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads, then refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It will also tell you whether the mop pad is at its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation before it overflows.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. However, it has many characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature in its mop heads, makes use of two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can clean pet hair and smaller dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in the storage. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing but it's not excessively heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is well-designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can even extend to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
