World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will take on 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them; the item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level for a component to be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can be prefixed or a suffix changing the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for instancethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions of the item using the smallest amount of upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be revealed at the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of how much they'll increase after a future reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be expensive, and there is a high possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break if it fails. A failure to upgrade can destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that increase or even eliminate the chance of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes within the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.

In the final game, you will often find that the best way to enhance your equipment is to use Glyphs. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that can enhance a stat by, and the value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

The use of Glyphs Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires a different number of components and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets upgraded.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or purchased from some NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns some Technology Points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and Item upgrading get its extra bonuses.

When a player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a different item of the same kind. The same armor can be transformed into an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a disadvantage, as the item can increase in price even if you don't require it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do so. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, which will have an initial level and a totally different set of bonuses. This is a good idea, but shouldn't be done often as it can waste resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, Item upgrading since it grants an increase in power if the player is repeatedly in or exits water. It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the max roll by an increment of 10. This item level upgrade is very important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of the non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon equipment will increase the damage base and required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every each time you upgrade an item it has an opportunity to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will cause the item upgrade to go to its original condition, which requires the user to spend more money on materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonus it earned, including crit chance and attack damage, and all other effects that are associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or speed of reload). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its base value. For instance an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Players will still have to take each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade items requires an individual amount of ingredients needed to upgrade.
