WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as valuable for the latter due to the need to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the Item upgrade will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

The upgrader is located in every major city, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks to keep your equipment up to date.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item, however they'll always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment. For example upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They are purchased by players through item upgrading upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of button, which will show a preview of the item at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the item and the current level of the item. For example, item upgrade weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade items cost 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used.
