The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and automatic vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a variety of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app which lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.

For instance, you can ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb, with the robot being able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only minor issue is that it can smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but just a glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading, and which obstacles it's avoided.

The docking station features an LCD display that displays the time when maintenance is required for cleaning up debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop can operate for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to needing recharging or returning to the base. You can view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is intuitively laid out and easily understood although we would like to be able to differentiate between a vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. The model this year has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that enables it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners might miss.

This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically empties and the bin fills up automatically.

The only issue I have found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot passes will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these through the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track the battery's life. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.

The app is simple to use and intuitive The X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, change modes, look at maps and floor plans, and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features that make it a great option for busy families. 4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive on the market however, it comes with a lot of extra features that distinguish it from. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can remove pet hair and small dirt particles - as well as picking up spills and wet spots.

The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from building up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.

There's a plethora of settings on offer, including the ability to schedule cleaning and alter a variety of preferences. They can be set through the app or buttons on the device itself.
