Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet mess in one go without the need to switch between devices. They can also help save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, robot vacuum fill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual can get you up and running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.

You could, for instance ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models can't. The only issue it has is that it can smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but just a glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.

The docking station comes with an LCD display that shows the need for maintenance, such as emptying debris and washing the dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank automatically with a 600ml of eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to view all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop is the newest version. Unlike last year's model it comes with a double agitator in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaner and mop cleaners might be unable to pick up.

As with the two other Roborock models I've tested it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates two cameras that can recognize objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It can then change its course automatically and clean around them without missing a step.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek, angular style is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons which include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.

The only downside I've discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if it's required), it's a pain to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, track the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and robot vacuum innovative features. Its intelligent design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while also saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry mess, including pet hair and crumbs. It comes with a mop that is top quality that cleans hard floors without the need for pads. Additionally the X40 is extremely quiet during its operation, with only occasional bursts of noise when switching between modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.

Another noteworthy characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to reach under furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice touch that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.

In contrast to other robots that only focus on one thing, the X40 can do mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or separately. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpet and mop only hard floors, and reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.

The app is user-friendly and user-friendly, and the X40's smart features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, view floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous convenient features, making it a perfect option for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads, then refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you when it overflows, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive models available however, it comes with numerous additional features that set it apart. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can remove pet hair and other small dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This feature is great because it stops mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system we've yet to see on other robot vacuum reviews vacuum and mop models and it could be a good robot vacuum method to keep your home clean for longer.

There's an impressive amount of options available that include the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a number of different preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has many options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also comes with a number of features that aren't available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing but it's not too heavy. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping system is well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
