The i3+ EVO is more effective of picking up surface debris when compared to other robovacs we've examined, but it's not the best in cleaning corners and edges. It's also less gentle on furniture, despite being fairly quiet. It moved chairs away from walls and made some collisions with the sides of our test bed, and also became stuck on cords and toys during our testing.

2. Black & Decker Pro Q5

If you're looking to expand your collection of robot vacuums, or are just starting out using one, the Q5 Pro is a great option. It packs serious power, advanced navigation and easy automation into a sleek design for a reasonable price. It's the best pound-for-pound model available today and is even better than Roborock's higher-priced models in a variety of ways.

This robot does a great job cleaning bare floors and its avoidance system assists it in avoiding furniture legs and other obstacles. It also performs well on carpets and scores a high score in our navigation tests. The only drawback is that it's louder than other models and doesn't do as well in our satisfaction of the owner and predicted reliability tests.

The Q5 Pro has a very large 770ml dust bin that means you won't have to empty it as often as some other 2-in-1 robots. Its 240-minute runtime is also extremely generous when compared to other models we've tested. When the battery is low, it automatically returns to its dock, where it recharges and resumes cleaning where it left off. You can manage the Q5 Pro via the app and use voice commands with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

This is one of the first robots we've seen incorporate 3D mapping. This, along with other advancements, allows it to excel in our vacuuming and mopping tests. You can schedule cleanings, set no-go zones, and view the status of the battery among other things. The app is simple to use, however it isn't compatible with Apple HomeKit. The feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. Apple updated its footnote on its website in November of this year to reflect the fact that the feature was delayed until 2025. Some other robots won't work with HomeKit however, a lot of them work with Siri Shortcuts.
