Our BMW ghost immobiliser is a revolutionary next-generation device that does not require cutting OEM wires or adding aftermarket alarms and key fobs. It is connected to the BMW CAN data network, and is programmed with a unique PIN code which is accessible through buttons on your car. This lets you enter the key sequences which aren't available in the normal menus for media. For example, volume up/down or source, cruise control, air conditioning and more. The PIN can be between 4 and 20 characters, making it very difficult for thieves to figure out.

Service Mode / Valet Mode

It works by using the factory buttons on your vehicle to create an unique sequence of pushes that only you can recognize, similar to like pin code security on your mobile phone. Its discreet and incredibly effective in dissuading even the most determined thieves from ever trying!

When parked at home or in an event where you meet and greet, In a meet and greet situation, the Ghost can be switched into service mode which allows you to start the car using your keys as normal but prevents the engine from starting until the proper code is entered. This is ideal for customers who need to turn their cars to valet services or other trusted friends and family members. It also allows you to bring the vehicle into the garage for repairs, maintenance etc without having to worry about it being tampered with or stolen by a mechanic whilst you are waiting.

If the service/valet mode has been enabled and enabled, your BMW will not be able to drive after it has been started. This prevents anyone else from testing driving the vehicle while you are away. After you return, the vehicle will be restored to normal operation and stop it from being damaged or stolen.

It's designed to stop thieves from adding keys or replacing the ECU to start your car and drive it off. Ghost is connected to your CAN network and uses buttons on your vehicle to create an unique push-sequence which must be entered before your engine can be started.

If the anti-hijacking mode has been activated, any attempt to restart the engine will be thwarted. The system will hone the horn flashing the indicators, and stall the vehicle when the code isn't found. The Anti-Hijack feature can be removed by entering your push sequence or by entering service mode which allows your car to temporarily start and drive without having to enter your PIN.

If you own an GPS device linked up to your BMW it can be used to turn off the Anti-Hijack feature so you can still use the navigation system in your car when the vehicle is parked not being watched. Remote Control

We can connect the Ghost device with your mobile app to enable remote control of keyless start and go capabilities. This is helpful if you are in another location and valet or mechanic needs to start your vehicle. The system lets you start the vehicle by selecting drive and then exit the service mode without having to use your key fobs. You can also see your vehicle in real-time on a map on your smartphone, ideal for tracking your car whilst in motion.

The Ghost can be installed in the dashboard area, or in the center console. It is completely concealed, tamperproof, and doesn't require any additional wiring. The device is connected to the vehicle's CAN Data Network (similar to an Ethernet cable) and a personal PIN code is embedded into it. The pin code has to be entered before the vehicle starts. This prevents thieves from using a cloned key or replacing the ECU to get around this system.

If your vehicle is stolen, the Ghost will go into service mode and disable all functions unless you have a PIN code or can use the mobile application to disarm it. This feature was designed to safeguard your vehicle from high-tech thieves who utilize relay boxes to take it. Ghost can also prevent the 'Relay-style Frequency amplification'. This is the most popular method of stealing a car using a keyfob that's copied, or stolen by hacking. Ghost lets you stop this from happening by installing a device called Secure-A Key in your vehicle. The device installs inside the key-fob of your vehicle and then will disconnect the battery after a short period of inactivity, this is possible on all modern PKE key-fobs.
